As reported by "Evening Kazan," currently in the republic, the shortfall of employees in the convoy services for arrested individuals and escorting defendants reaches 40%.

Tatarstan is facing a serious staffing crisis in the law enforcement system. The shortage of convoy service employees has reached 40%, leading to systemic failures in the courts and constant delays in proceedings. Such data is provided by "Evening Kazan." Participants in court sessions and journalists regularly encounter delays in the delivery of arrested individuals to proceedings by an hour or more. According to FSIN employees, the root of the problem lies in the unattractive service conditions. Salaries of 40,000-50,000 rubles cannot compete with the labor market, where welders and IT specialists in the republic can earn up to 500,000 rubles a month. The head of the FSIN in Tatarstan, Eduard Khialeev, announced legislative initiatives aimed at solving the problem: the recruitment of combat veterans has been allowed, and the maximum age for service has been raised to 65 years. However, the crisis is systemic in nature. In the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Kazan, the level of shortfall has also reached 40%. As employees note, low salaries deter men, and more young women are joining the service, which raises some concerns regarding their ability to escort dangerous criminals. It should be noted that at the March meeting of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, President Vladimir Putin acknowledged the increase in shortfall, especially at the primary level. Nationwide, the number of vacancies in internal affairs agencies exceeded 172,000, while in Tatarstan, there are 3,908 positions. It was previously reported that ahead of winter, Kazan may face a communal crisis: the city lacks more than 800 janitors.
