The "Dubravnaya" metro station will not operate until November 25. Its operation has been suspended due to tunnel construction for a new line. Ground transportation will not be restricted.
Since November 3, the Kazan metro has entered an important stage of development – tunnel construction for the future second line has begun. In this regard, the "Dubravnaya" station is closed to passengers for three weeks, until November 25. Under the existing line, builders have started laying a 40-meter section, which will become a key link to connect with the new line. Despite the closure of one station, the train interval on the entire line remains at 5 minutes. For passenger convenience, route replacements have been organized. Thus, on the section from "Prospekt Pobedy" to "Dubravnaya," buses No. 5, 18, 30, 31, 34, 68, 70, and 90 are operating. Trolleybuses No. 5, 9, 12, or tram No. 4 can also be used. For residents of the villages of Vishnevka and Privolny, the bus route No. 94 has been extended to the "Prospekt Pobedy" station. The complete construction of the second line of the metro is planned for 2027. The first section will feature four new stations: "100th Anniversary of TASSR" (Yulius Fuchik Street), "Academic" (intersection of Fuchik and Zavoysky Streets), "Zilant" (intersection of Fuchik and Lomzhinskaya Streets), "Tulpar" (intersection of Pobedy Avenue and Sakharov Street). Further construction will continue towards the Universiade Village and RKB. Earlier, the Minister of Transport of Tatarstan, Farit Khaifov, reported on plans to create a circular metro line that will connect all city districts for maximum passenger comfort. As previously reported, with the necessary funding, the commissioning of the first phase of stations of the second line of the Kazan metro is planned by 2030.
