After midnight, a dangerous situation occurred in the Yelabuga district of Tatarstan, requiring coordinated actions from several emergency services. Rescuers received a call: in the village of Svinogorye, two girls, aged 24 and 28, fell into a ravine and could not get out, the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Tatarstan reported. The height of the slope was about 10 meters, and a two-meter layer of snow had accumulated at the bottom, making self-rescue nearly impossible. The snow, on one hand, softened the fall, but on the other hand, became a trap, immobilizing the victims. Emergency teams from the Yelabuga Search and Rescue Service No. 5 and firefighters from the Kostenevo Fire Department quickly arrived at the scene. A police officer also joined the operation. Rescuers, using climbing equipment and special stretchers, descended to the bottom of the ravine. In difficult conditions, in the dark and deep snow, they securely secured the girls and brought them up. The victims were immediately handed over to an ambulance team for examination.
