      More than 250 events took place during the New Year holidays in the parks and squares of the capital of Tatarstan. This was reported at the business Monday by the head of the Directorate of Parks and Squares of Kazan, Aigul Latypova. According to the speaker, festive events were held in 30 public spaces, and over 560,000 residents and guests of the city attended them during the holidays. Latypova added that until the end of January, local residents and tourists will be delighted by the New Year illumination in 25 parks of Kazan. "The New Year holidays vividly demonstrated the role of parks in urban space. Not only walks and relaxation in the fresh air, but also sports, culture, and various events," commented Kazan Mayor Ilsur Metshin on this data. He emphasized that events in the parks are eagerly attended by city guests. In his opinion, parks and squares can now be called one of the city's attractions. "Our parks are beautiful, safe, and well-maintained. It is important to continue increasing the number of parks so that they are within walking distance for everyone," concluded the mayor.
