Russia and Saudi Arabia plan to significantly expand air travel by 2026. This was announced in an interview with TASS by the Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation, Andrey Nikitin. According to him, special attention is being paid to increasing the number of routes from Krasnodar, including routes to Saudi Arabia, as part of the development of international air transportation. In addition to cooperation with Saudi Arabia, Russia is actively developing air travel with other countries in the Middle East. In particular, Oman Air plans to increase the number of flights to Moscow in 2026 and expand the geography of flights to include St. Petersburg, Kazan, Yekaterinburg, and Sochi.
At the end of 2025, the carrier launched flights from the resort city of Salalah to Moscow. Flights will be operated on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
