The gardening associations of Tatarstan are transitioning to electronic property registration.
Starting from January 1, 2026, a new procedure for document registration for certain categories of legal entities came into effect in Russia. The submission of applications for state registration of rights and cadastral accounting has become mandatory exclusively in electronic form. The new requirements apply to gardening and horticultural associations (SNT and ONT), garage and housing cooperatives, homeowners' associations (TSZh), as well as to peasant (farm) enterprises that have the status of a legal entity.
These changes mark another stage in the digitalization of the Rosreestr system. A similar format of interaction was previously introduced for all legal entities: from March 1, 2025, electronic submission of documents became mandatory, including for developers and banks.
The Rosreestr Office for the Republic of Tatarstan explained that the transition to electronic document flow significantly reduces the time for processing applications and increases transparency and data protection levels. It is noted that digital documents have a higher degree of protection against forgery.
The agency's position was supported by representatives of the Union of Gardeners of the Republic of Tatarstan. According to their assessment, the new format eliminates the need for personal visits and waiting in lines, as all actions can be performed remotely, including document submission and application status tracking. The Union also pointed out that for the chairpersons of SNT, the transition to electronic format requires the acquisition of additional skills. In this regard, the organization announced its readiness to conduct training for its members.
