The results of the Ministry of Internal Affairs' work for 2025 have been summarized in Tatarstan.

      In Tatarstan, an expanded meeting of the republican Ministry of Internal Affairs was held, dedicated to analyzing the work of law enforcement agencies for the year 2025 and setting tasks for the near future. The discussion was attended by the head of the republic, Rustam Minnikhanov, Prime Minister Alexey Pesoshin, Chairman of the State Council Farid Mukhametshin, head of the Tatarstan administration Raisa Asgat Safarov, chief federal inspector Viktor Demidov, as well as representatives of law enforcement and supervisory agencies. During the meeting, it was noted that over the past year, employees of the internal affairs agencies ensured law and order during almost five thousand mass events — from socio-political to sports and cultural. It was emphasized that, based on the results of 2025, the region recorded an overall decrease in crime — the first time in the last five years. It was also reported that the number of crimes committed by previously convicted citizens, as well as offenses related to domestic conflicts and alcohol intoxication, decreased. The number of crimes involving firearms decreased by almost 25 percent. At the same time, the detection rate of particularly serious offenses — murders, serious bodily harm, rapes, and robberies — remains at a level close to one hundred percent. According to official data, 47,373 crimes were registered in Tatarstan over the year, of which more than 15,000 fall into the category of serious and particularly serious crimes. Law enforcement agencies solved almost 18,000 crimes, including cases that caused public resonance. A decrease in crimes in the field of information technology was also noted, although the majority of them are still related to the theft of funds — such episodes number over 15,000. The meeting separately discussed measures to combat terrorism, organized crime, and the illegal trafficking of weapons and drugs. In addition, over the year, residents of the republic received more than 2.6 million state services, with the level of satisfaction with their quality rated as maximum. The work of the republican Ministry of Internal Affairs was generally assessed positively.
