      In Tatarstan, a decision was made to begin activities for the prevention of hemorrhagic fever with renal syndrome (HFRS), also known as "mouse fever." This decision is related to the start of the season for natural focal infections and weather conditions that contribute to an increase in rodent populations. The press service of the Rospotrebnadzor Administration for the Republic of Tatarstan reported that a set of preventive measures was approved on March 16. Municipalities have been instructed to begin spring treatment of areas for rodents after the snow melts, to carry out deratization in settlements located near forested areas, as well as in places where cases of the disease have already been registered. In addition, the elimination of unauthorized dumps and timely garbage removal is planned. It is noted that management companies must monitor the condition of residential buildings, eliminate damage, prevent waste accumulation, and regularly carry out rodent treatment in stairwells, at container sites, and in adjacent areas.
