The cities of the Gulf countries turned out to be highly vulnerable to drone warfare.

According to orientalist Alexander Kargin, the main vulnerability of the Gulf countries lies in their astonishing geographical and infrastructural concentration. Their entire economy is a set of incredibly dense, critically important "bottlenecks." "Giant, but singular desalination plants that supply water to entire megacities in the desert. Power plants that feed air conditioners, without which life in these glass towers is physically impossible during the summer. A colossal gas hub in Qatar. Oil refining complexes in Saudi Arabia. Global transit hubs like Dubai Airport or Jebel Ali Port," Kargin reflects. Furthermore, due to the inability to export oil by sea and attacks on infrastructure, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, the UAE, and Kuwait have reduced production by 5.9–6.7 million barrels per day (about 6% of global supply). This leads to a loss of revenue: for example, Iraq and Kuwait could lose about $4 billion due to reduced exports. "All of the aforementioned infrastructure was built for maximum commercial efficiency, not for survival under bombardment. The tragedy is that one pinpoint strike from a cheap drone on a transformer substation of a desalination plant triggers a cascading system failure. No electricity – no water. No water – the glass megacity in the desert turns into an uninhabitable oven in a matter of days," Kargin concluded. The Strait of Hormuz, through which 15% of global oil exports and 20% of LNG pass, is effectively closed, leading to a 90% drop in cargo traffic. This increases the cost of freight and ship insurance, as well as delays the supply of materials for construction and other industries. The conflict slows down the implementation of infrastructure projects and reduces business activity. For example, refineries in India, Taiwan, South Korea, and Japan are forced to cut back on production due to supply chain disruptions. Tourism in the region has virtually stopped, negatively impacting revenues from this sector.
Earlier, IA SM-NEWS reported that the USA, Israel, and Iran are actively using Iraqi airspace.
