68% of Tatars want to study at the employer's expense, but access is limited.
The study showed that most residents of Tatarstan strive to improve their qualifications with the support of their employer; however, real opportunities for this are available only to a small portion of employees. Almost 70% of Tatarstan residents are interested in qualification improvement funded by their employer, but only one in four can take advantage of such programs. These conclusions were drawn by analysts from hh.ru based on a survey of job seekers. According to the research, 68% of respondents would like to undergo training as part of corporate development programs. However, only 24% of employees actually have access to internal or external courses paid for by the company. Overall, career growth programs in one form or another are available to less than half of those surveyed. Residents of the region also expect other forms of support. More than 60% are interested in professional retraining, and every second person is in favor of prioritizing internal candidates for vacancies. Mentorship, career consultations, and access to educational resources within the company are popular. Interest in training varies significantly by profession. Sales staff, administrative personnel, and finance professionals are more likely to seek training, while representatives of manufacturing specialties are focused on acquiring a new profession. In marketing and PR, mentorship and corporate libraries are in demand, while accountants and finance professionals are more willing to change departments or even relocate for career advancement. At the same time, many Russians are developing skills independently. Since the launch of the competency confirmation system on the platform, millions of users have undergone testing. The most popular areas remain English language, working with spreadsheets, and digital skills. Experts note that the trend towards skill development is strengthening: job seekers strive to solidify their positions in the labor market, and employers increasingly consider confirmed skills when selecting personnel. Thus, investments in training become an important factor in competitiveness for both employees and companies.
