Kravtsov announced the release of new textbooks on the languages of the peoples of Russia.
The Federal Institute of Native Languages of the Peoples of the Russian Federation has begun creating comprehensive lines of textbooks for native and state languages of the republics of Russia. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation, TASS conveys. "Thanks to unified federal-level programs, language study will accompany students throughout their entire school journey – from 1st to 11th grade. This will help preserve the unbroken connection between generations and allow for a deeper immersion in the culture of one's people," noted the Minister of Education of the Russian Federation, Sergey Kravtsov, on this matter. The relevant department added that the Federal Institute of Native Languages of the Peoples of Russia, as part of fulfilling its state assignment, prepared original text manuscripts (drafts) of textbooks for four state languages of the republics of the country: Komi, Tuvan, Chuvash, and Sakha (Yakut). In total, over the course of the year, manuscripts for 54 textbooks in six native and four state languages, as well as 13 methodological guides for teachers, have been prepared. The original layouts of 45 textbooks (including electronic forms) and ten methodological guides for ten languages of the peoples of the Russian Federation are undergoing additional verification and will be sent for expertise, the ministry noted. This year, activities such as the expertise of the prepared textbooks, their refinement, preparation for release, and inclusion in the federal list of textbooks are planned.
