In Tatarstan, 1,800 people will participate in the "Abilympics" championship.

      In Tatarstan, from March 16 to April 13, the regional championship "Abilympics" for people with disabilities and limited health capabilities will take place. About 1,800 people will participate in the competitions, as reported by the ANO "Center for the Development of Professional Competencies." The championship will be held at the venues of 35 educational organizations in 14 municipal districts. Participants will compete in three categories — schoolchildren, students, and specialists. They will compete in 50 core and 75 regional competencies. Among the new areas announced are eyebrow shaping, drone design and assembly, rattan product manufacturing, body repair, social rehabilitation specialist, and prosthetics technician. About 630 experts will evaluate the performances, and around 400 volunteers will be involved at the venues. The program includes a "Festival of Opportunities" for people with severe multiple disabilities, including mental disabilities. Its goal is to develop basic professional skills and socialization for participants. It is expected that about 550 people will participate, completing tasks in 22 competencies. A "Career Introduction Festival" will also take place for children aged 5 to 13 with limited health capabilities. It will be held in Arsk, Kazan, Naberezhnye Chelny, and Nizhnekamsk. At five venues, participants will try their hand at 18 areas. About 300 people are expected to participate. In 2025, the Tatarstan team won 69 medals at the national "Abilympics" championship in Moscow and took second place in the medal standings.
