In Tatarstan, a sanitary and environmental two-month period begins on April 1.

      The Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan has announced a two-month period for sanitary and environmental cleaning of the territories of populated areas, which will take place from April 1 to May 31, 2026. The corresponding order was signed by the Prime Minister of Tatarstan, Alexey Pesoshin. The document recommends that the executive committees of municipalities organize the cleaning of water protection zones, beaches, squares, parks, playgrounds, markets, places of mass recreation, gardening associations, garage cooperatives, as well as the territories of the private residential sector and roadside strips. Special attention is proposed to be given to the elimination of unauthorized dumps, including agricultural land, suburban forests, and water protection zones. To coordinate the work, it is recommended to create operational headquarters and involve volunteers and public organizations. The Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Tatarstan, the Ministry of Forestry, the Ministry of Transport, the State Committee for Bioresources, the State Housing Inspection, Rosprirodnadzor, and other agencies must strengthen control over compliance with environmental legislation within their powers and report weekly on the inspections conducted. To monitor unauthorized dumps, it is proposed to use the "People's Control" system and the mobile application "School Eco Patrol." The Ministry of Land and Property of Tatarstan has been instructed to provide additional fuel resources for field inspections. The results of the two-month period must be submitted to the Cabinet of Ministers of Tatarstan by June 5, 2026. At the same time, the Cabinet's order dated March 10, 2025, No. 486-r has been revoked.
