On the morning of March 25, an operational preventive event called "Tunnel" took place on Soviet Street in Bolgar. From 7 to 9 a.m., traffic police officers, along with local police, conducted a thorough check of drivers. During the raid, inspectors stopped and checked 43 vehicles. Special attention was paid to three key points: whether drivers were getting behind the wheel while intoxicated, whether they were yielding to pedestrians at crossings, and whether they were buckling up themselves and transporting children in special seats. "Morning hours are when many are in a hurry to work, school, or for errands. It is important to remind drivers that rushing is not worth it if it jeopardizes the safety of others. Violating pedestrian crossing rules, driving without seat belts, or especially while intoxicated is not just a fine; it is a risk to life. We will continue such raids to ensure safety for everyone on the roads," commented Ruslan Velikov, head of the traffic police department for the Spassky district.
