This was stated by the Russian Finance Minister Anton Siluanov in an interview with journalist Alexander Yunashov. "I think that we will soon feel these (additional oil and gas revenues - note by T-i) in the budget. For now, contracts are being executed at old prices. The oil and gas revenues in the volumes they can come in are still on their way," noted the head of the Ministry of Finance. At the same time, Siluanov emphasized that his department is focused on the sustainable fulfillment of tasks regardless of the level of oil prices. Answering a question about the impact of rising oil prices on ordinary citizens of Russia, the minister said: "This will be noticeable in that we will fulfill all our social obligations." "Everything that is planned will be fulfilled," he assured. Before the start of the war in the Middle East, on February 25, Anton Siluanov mentioned that the Government of Russia, against the backdrop of under-collection of oil and gas revenues, is considering tightening the budget rule by lowering the base price. Soon, on March 4, the Ministry of Finance announced its decision not to conduct operations for the purchase and sale of foreign currency and gold on the domestic market within the framework of the budget rule during the first spring month.
