Today, the central park of Nurlat was crowded and festive. At the monument to the soldiers of the internal troops, those for whom the words "honor" and "Fatherland" are not an empty phrase gathered: service veterans, participants of special operations, volunteers, activists, and representatives of public organizations, as well as concerned residents of the city. The rally, timed to coincide with the professional holiday (formerly known as the Day of Internal Troops), became a symbol of deep respect for those who stand guard over law and order and the safety of the country every day. The solemn event was opened by the head of the Nurlat district, Damir Ishkineev. In his speech, he noted the special significance of service in the ranks of the National Guard and thanked the soldiers for their loyalty to the oath. The official part continued with an award ceremony: distinguished Nurlat residents received well-deserved awards and letters of gratitude for their conscientious service, assistance in the special military operation, and contribution to the patriotic education of youth. Words of support and congratulations were also voiced by the honored guests of the rally: the military commissioner of the city and district, Zagir Abdullin, a veteran of combat operations, battalion commander Albert Mukhametov, the head of the local branch of the "Combat Brotherhood," Zinnur Mutagirov, and others. The speakers noted that today the soldiers of the National Guard continue the glorious traditions of their predecessors, demonstrating resilience and professionalism. The memory of the heroes who gave their lives while fulfilling their official duty was honored by the participants of the rally with a moment of silence, and flowers were laid at the foot of the monument.
