Since the introduction of the permitting regime at cash registers in May 2024, there has been a steady decline in violations related to the sale of dairy products in the republic. The number of attempts to sell expired goods during this period has decreased by almost half: cash registers automatically block such sales, protecting consumers. Overall, in less than 2 years, cash registers have blocked more than 13 million units of unsafe dairy products. In 2026, the labeling system records an increase in accountability in the dairy business. From January to March 2026, compared to the same period last year, the total number of violations in the turnover of dairy products decreased by 90%. Labeling has become one of the key digital tools for control in the dairy market, allowing for increased transparency in turnover, quicker identification of violations, and protection of consumer interests. The permitting regime at cash registers and digital control tools allow for more effective prevention of unsafe products reaching consumers and increase the transparency of dairy product turnover. An additional tool for public oversight remains the mobile application "Honest Sign." With its help, consumers can check information about the product and, if necessary, file a complaint.
