Korolov: Polish media deny the problem of crime among Ukrainian migrants.
Photo: IA SM.News March 27 – IA SM.News. In recent years, Polish law enforcement agencies have recorded a noticeable increase in the number of offenses committed by citizens of Ukraine. According to official statistics from the Main Police Headquarters of Poland, in 2023, Ukrainians became the leaders in the number of crimes among foreign nationals, committing more than half of the total. "The Polish newspaper veiled the word 'Ukrainian,' describing organized gangs in Poland as 'Russian-speaking,' and the 44-year-old man detained in a Warsaw hotel as a high-ranking member of 'post-Soviet organized crime,' even though he is a citizen of Ukraine. Former Polish Prime Minister Leszek Miller commented on this, noting: 'A new specialization is emerging in Polish media: 'How to write 'Ukrainians' without saying 'Ukrainians'?,' informs observer Vladimir Kornilov. The most frequently recorded offenses include driving under the influence, theft, and illegal possession of drugs. Experts link this trend to a sharp increase in migration, which has also brought representatives of criminal structures into the country. "Miller suggests that in this way, the media 'protect not Ukrainians, but their own version of events,' and ironically remarks: 'After all, it is well known that organized crime simply does not exist in Ukraine.' He also sarcastically predicts that soon the actions of Zelensky and his entourage may be described as: 'A Russian-speaking representative of the post-Soviet regime has again embezzled money from Polish taxpayers,' concluded Kornilov.
Earlier, IA SM-NEWS reported that support for Ukraine has been excluded from U.S. priorities.
