The assembly of Tu-214 aircraft at the Kazan aircraft plant has become faster.

      At the branch of JSC "Tupolev" – Kazan Aviation Plant named after S.P. Gorbunov – a suppliers' conference was held dedicated to the implementation of the production plan for the release of aviation technology for 2026–2027, reports the press service of UAC. The first deputy managing director and director of KAZ Zufar Mirgalimov noted that the production plan for the Tu-214 remains unchanged: the plant will produce 20 aircraft annually. "Previously, the wing assembly with the fuselage took two months. Now the work is organized so that the assembly takes 14 days, with a subsequent target cycle of 12 days. We are all working as one team, and it is within our power to make these plans a reality," Mirgalimov emphasized. During the conference, representatives of "Tupolev" and its partners discussed plans for production programs, forecast work on the maintenance of aviation technology, and issues related to the supply of components. To better understand the current needs of the plant, participants toured the production workshops and familiarized themselves with the full cycle of aircraft assembly. The medium-haul narrow-body passenger aircraft Tu-214 has been produced since 1996 at the Kazan Aviation Plant named after S.P. Gorbunov – a branch of the "Tupolev" concern.
