A feat that knows no age: an interactive program "Hero Children" took place in Nurlat.
A significant patriotic event took place at the "Grani" cultural and leisure center, uniting students from city schools. The meeting, held as part of the "Children-Heroes of the Great Patriotic War" project, became not just a history lesson for the kids, but an opportunity to express their connection to the fate of their country. The program began with a practical contribution to a common cause. Volunteers from the "DobroGrani" group, Amina Nigmetzyanova and Nina Anisimova, conducted a master class for schoolchildren on making bandaging materials for soldiers involved in the special military operation. Under the careful guidance of their mentors, the kids learned to make gauze balls. Today, about 30 volunteers work daily in the "DobroGrani" group, providing hospitals with necessary medical supplies, and the young residents of Nurlat enthusiastically joined this important mission. The main part of the program transported participants back to the 1940s – an era where their peers had to grow up in an instant. History came alive in stories about legendary defenders: Marat Kazei, Lena Golikova, Valya Kotik, and Zina Portnova. These names, which became symbols of unparalleled bravery, resonated anew for modern schoolchildren. Watching footage from documentary films immersed the audience in the atmosphere of those years. Holding their breath, the kids gazed at the faces of young scouts and partisans – just like them, but wearing soldiers' overcoats instead of school uniforms. This deep dive into history turned into a genuine dialogue between generations, reminding everyone present that the memory of the little heroes of the great war is the foundation on which our future is built. The meeting took place in a format of live communication, where students shared their knowledge about the war and the heroism of their ancestors. The participants honored the memory of fallen heroes with a moment of silence. The final chord of the event was a touching action called "Dove of Victory." The schoolchildren received paper doves on which they wrote the names of their family heroes. These symbols of peace and gratitude decorated an improvised stand, becoming a living message from the current generation to the victors. "The children learned a lot about their peers who forged Victory. It was incredibly informative. Our class actively participates in supporting the soldiers of the special military operation: the kids write letters, prepare gifts, and collect humanitarian aid," noted the class teacher of the 3rd "V" class of school No. 9, Svetlana Vasilyeva.
The "Children-Heroes" project is not only about fostering patriotism but also about real assistance. All proceeds from ticket sales are directed towards purchasing materials for making bandaging supplies for military hospitals. "We have been conducting this series of events for the second year for students in grades 3-5. It is gratifying to see the lively interest in the children's eyes. Teachers have already expressed a desire to continue visits after the holidays with the whole class," shared the director of the "Grani" cultural and leisure center, Dilyara Gatina. The series of events "Children-Heroes" will continue throughout April.
