The enrollment campaign for children in the first grade will begin in Tatarstan on April 1. As reported by the press service of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tatarstan, this year's innovation for parents is the ability to submit a complete set of documents through the State Services portal. The enrollment periods are divided into two stages depending on the choice of school. For those who live in the designated area or have priority rights, documents will be accepted from April 1 to June 30. Parents who choose an educational institution in another district must submit their application from July 6 to September 5. It can also be submitted in person, sent by mail, or emailed to the educational institution. Enrollment is formalized by an order from each school: in the first stage – from July 1 to July 5, in the second – within 5 working days after the application is submitted. In case of refusal, parents have the right to send an appeal to the education department to resolve the disputed situation. Priority rights are given to children whose siblings are already studying at this school. In addition, children of military personnel, police officers, National Guard, and FSIN employees are enrolled on a priority basis. Children of judges, prosecutors, and investigative committee employees can also use priority rights when applying to boarding schools. A separate regulation is provided for children of foreign citizens: after submitting documents, they must pass a Russian language proficiency test (held on the first Wednesday of the month, as well as on August 26 and September 30). It was previously reported that an aggressive dog attacked a girl and two pets in Kazan. As a result of the incident, one pet died from injuries, and the child was injured.
