The Kuibyshev Reservoir is the main regulator of the flow of the Volga-Kama cascade. The operational modes of the reservoir are established by Rosvodresursy based on the decisions of the interdepartmental working group, which includes representatives from Tatarstan. Meetings are held monthly, and during the flood period – two to three times a month. According to Ziganshin, the current operational mode of the reservoir is set at 6400-6500 cubic meters, which ensures safe operation and functionality. "Our staff monitors the operational modes of the reservoirs of the Volga-Kama cascade daily using the software complex 'HydroCascade'," Ziganshin noted.

      According to forecasts, starting from April 2, the water level will begin to rise. Tomorrow, another meeting of the interdepartmental working group will take place, where the further operational mode of the reservoirs will be determined.
