"As a result of the explosion, workers of the enterprise, contracting organizations, and the fire and rescue service were injured. Unfortunately, there are fatalities. First of all, I want to express my deep condolences to the families and relatives of the deceased employees of the enterprise, as well as to the firefighter who heroically died while on duty. We mourn together with you. A three-day mourning period has been declared in Nizhnekamsk," said Minnikhanov. He noted that the injured and the families of the deceased will receive necessary assistance from the enterprise and local government bodies. Emergency rescue operations are ongoing at the enterprise, and a state of emergency has been introduced to coordinate the actions of the services. The Head of Tatarstan also emphasized the coordinated work of emergency services, the administration of Nizhnekamsk, and the management of the enterprise. "Accidents in production are, first and foremost, about the life and health of our people. Safety issues in production should be a priority for each of us. There are no small details in this work. Heads of supervisory authorities, industry ministries, and manufacturing enterprises need to strengthen control over compliance with technological processes, strictly adhere to industrial safety requirements, and conduct quality training for personnel. It is also necessary to enhance control over the work of contracting organizations," he emphasized.

      "Sibur has a very strict safety system. Nevertheless, we are a technogenic republic. Besides sabotage and enemy attacks, there is sometimes our carelessness or irresponsibility, which can be very dangerous. Therefore, special attention must be paid to these issues," added the Head of Tatarstan.
