      The deputy head of the Kazan executive committee, Igor Kulyazhev, has become a new witness in the case of the attempted murder of Irina Shevyreva in October 2025. Information about his interrogation in this capacity was presented today in the petition of the Investigative Committee at the meeting of the Soviet District Court of Kazan, reported from the scene by a journalist from "Real Time." The name of the prominent municipal official was mentioned by the senior investigator of the first department for particularly important cases of the Investigative Committee for the Republic of Tatarstan, Ayrat Giniyatullin, along with others, noting that samples of epithelial cells had been obtained from these witnesses for molecular genetic examinations.

      Recall that during the proceedings of the Moscow District Court of Kazan regarding Kulyazhev's ex-wife, it was revealed that the deputy head of the executive committee is a long-time friend of Stanislav Shevyrev, who is accused in the case of attempting to murder his son's wife and is considered the beneficiary of the "Volga-Autodor" holding, which receives billion-dollar government contracts for the construction of roads and transport interchanges.

      Recall that the case of the attempted murder was almost immediately placed under the control of the head of the Investigative Committee, Alexander Bastrykin, aided by a video recording released online, which shows how on the morning of October 14, 2025, a man in a motorcycle helmet attacked Irina Shevyreva with a knife and inflicted multiple wounds before fleeing. Another camera on a house recorded how he arrived at the future crime scene on an electric bicycle, waited for some time, and then approached a parked car with a woman. The camera also captured the departure of the "bike killer" Rafis Sultanov, who, we recall, left Tatarstan the same day in the car of Hamidov's brother and was extradited from Tajikistan a few days later, confessing to the attack on Irina Shevyreva in October and an earlier incident involving her on an electric scooter. In a conversation with "Real Time," Sultanov confirmed that he was paid for this, but during the knife attack and escape from the Russian Federation, he acted not entirely voluntarily.

      Active resistance and prompt medical assistance saved Irina Shevyreva's life. She sustained several serious injuries. At the start of the investigation, she attended court several times to state that she did not believe in the guilt of her father-in-law and husband. Later, she stopped attending the sessions.

      A total of seven people are being prosecuted in this case. Under house arrest and under state protection is Bulat Gallyamov, who worked in the security service of "Volga-Autodor" for nine years until his detention; this preventive measure was also chosen by the Supreme Court of Tatarstan in February regarding Stanislav Shevyrev, whom the investigation considers the customer of the crime.

      In custody are the head of the security service of "Volga-Autodor," Andrey Cherkasin, and Burikhon Hamidov, who unofficially worked in the same organization. His brother has been placed on the international wanted list, and the husband of the victim, Ivan Shevyrev, is under a subscription in the status of a suspect.

      Gallyamov's house arrest was extended today until June 14 of this year. He did not object.
