Decade of Science and Technology: The First Russian Space Week will unite more than a thousand events across the country.

      Exactly 65 years ago, on April 12, 1961, the launch of the "Vostok-1" spacecraft with Yuri Gagarin on board forever changed the history of civilization. In commemoration of this date and as part of the Decade of Science and Technology declared by the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, from April 6 to April 12, Russia will host the first Space Week. The geography of the project will cover the entire country: more than a thousand events are planned. The kickoff: "Conversations about the Important" and a marathon at the National Space Center (NSC) The first event of the large-scale week will be a nationwide action in schools. On April 6, during the "Conversations about the Important" lesson, students will learn not only about the history of domestic astronautics and the first flight but also about how to join the cosmonaut team today, what skills and knowledge are needed for this. On April 7, Moscow will take over the baton. For the first time, the headquarters of the State Corporation "Roscosmos" — the National Space Center named after V. V. Tereshkova in the west of the capital — will turn into an open festival venue. Here, an educational marathon "Space with Knowledge" will take place. Participants will hear from leading experts in the space industry, engineers, and science popularizers, as well as attend master classes and creative meetings. The main event: The Russian Space Forum The culmination of the Week will be the first Russian Space Forum, which will take place on April 9 at the National Center "Russia." This will be a central dialogue platform where representatives of the state, large business, the scientific community, and developers will meet. The key track of the business program will be "Breakthrough Frontiers: Science, the Moon, and Deep Space." Forum participants will discuss how to maintain Russia's leadership in the exploration of interstellar space, what technologies will allow for the exploration of the Moon, and what awaits domestic astronautics in the coming decades. From Tatarstan to drone shows: what else awaits the audience The program of Space Week is designed to be interesting for all ages and professions. It will include: Educational formats: telebridges with active cosmonauts from the ISS, excursions to closed regime facilities (by prior registration), scientific quizzes. Cultural program: exhibitions of unique technology and historical artifacts, screenings of the best feature and documentary films about space, including the film "Gagarin. Embracing the World," musical concerts, and theatrical performances. Regional coverage: even small towns have joined the action. For example, on April 7, in the Zainsk municipal district of the Republic of Tatarstan (Zainsk, Energetikov St., 11, Youth Club "Yunost"), there will be a screening of the documentary film "Gagarin. Embracing the World." Gastronomy and technology: for the first time, a nationwide gastronomic festival on a space theme will take place. The grand finale will be a large-scale drone show — a symbol of innovation and technological capabilities of Russian industry.
