This was reported by its director Damir Galiev at a meeting of the board of trustees of the Investment and Venture Fund of Tatarstan. The event took place as part of the XX Russian Venture Forum held in Kazan. It was conducted by the President of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov, as reported by the press service of the republic's leader. According to the speaker, the fund has formed a funnel of 1,308 projects. As a result of the "Innovation of the Year-2025" competition, 228 applications were received. The main sectors were machine engineering and energy (26%), IT (24%), biotechnology and agriculture (23%). Twenty-five winners were identified in five nominations – from schoolchildren to representatives of corporations. Additionally, the "New Chemical Industry" fund has been opened, and work is underway to create new technoparks, Galiev noted. As an organizer or co-organizer, the Investment and Venture Fund of Tatarstan has held six major events of federal scale. The total audience of these events exceeded 40,000 participants. The XIX Russian Venture Forum, which took place last year in 2025, gathered 5,000 participants. 150 startups were presented with an annual revenue exceeding 9.6 billion rubles. As a result, investment commitments of 900 million rubles were secured. The participants of the board of trustees meeting of the Investment and Venture Fund of Tatarstan also outlined plans for 2026 regarding project financing, the development of new support tools, and active participation in republican and federal events.
