In the first ten days of the sanitary-ecological two-month campaign, which is being held in the republic at the request of the President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, more than 25,000 people and 463 units of equipment were involved in cleaning the territories, reported the press service of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Tatarstan. Municipalities removed about 40,000 cubic meters of waste.
Since April 1, environmental authorities have identified 65 violations, of which 21 are unauthorized landfills. Authorized bodies have drawn up 84 protocols on administrative offenses and issued 78 warnings.
The Ministry of Ecology, together with the State Budgetary Institution "BDD," organized monitoring of the sanitary-ecological condition of road service facilities, right-of-way areas, and roadside strips of highways. Eleven visits were made to the Baltasinsky, Tukayevsky, Leninogorsk, Novosheshminsky, Muslyumovsky, Buinsky, Bugulminsky, Arsky, Alexeyevsky, Yelabuga, and Vysokogorsky districts. Transport enterprises collected 1,626 cubic meters of waste. Inspections are planned from April 13 to 17 in eight more municipal districts. Information about violations is also coming from residents of Tatarstan. Since April 1, the eco-reception has received 105 appeals. Of these, 27 concerned unauthorized waste disposal, the same number related to air quality, 11 to water bodies, and 40 to other issues. A total of 714 appeals have been received from residents since the beginning of the year.
The sanitary-ecological two-month campaign is being held in support of the national project "Ecological Well-Being" and will last until May 31.
