"The CPRF faction in the State Council pays important attention to this issue, providing assistance in organizing party-wide humanitarian convoys, as well as within the framework of similar humanitarian actions organized on behalf of the Republic of Tatarstan and individual municipalities," emphasized Nikolai Atlasov. "I especially want to note the activity on this issue of communists from Kazan, Naberezhnye Chelny, Nizhnekamsk, and several other territories of the republic. I assure you that this important work will continue, as support for the special military operation and our army is an important component of the party-wide, patriotic platform." State Duma deputy Artem Prokofyev, who participated in the meeting via video link, spoke about the legislative activities of the CPRF faction in the State Duma. In particular, he elaborated on the municipal reform and Tatarstan's proposal regarding the right of regions to independently determine the model of self-government – whether to transition to a single-level system or maintain a two-level system, preserving local self-government in rural and urban settlements. This position was actively supported by the leaders of the CPRF factions in the State Duma, Gennady Zyuganov, and in the State Council, Hafiz Mirgalimov. "The position of our parliament was outlined. The deputy corps representing Tatarstan submitted its amendments to the State Duma, and through our joint efforts, we managed to achieve changes to this reform. And now regions have the right to have a full-fledged system of local self-government, which has been implemented," said Artem Prokofyev.
