A meeting was held at Kazan Lyceum No. 187 in the Soviet district with the academician of the Russian Academy of Education, the founder of humane pedagogy Shalva Amonashvili. The dialogue titled "Children and Adults. Upbringing, but what kind?" gathered 500 educators and parents concerned about preserving humanity, inner light, and dignity in children. A legend of domestic pedagogy, academician of the Russian Academy of Education, Doctor of Psychological Sciences, and author of numerous books on humane pedagogy, Shalva Amonashvili communicated with Kazan educators and parents for four hours. Special attention was paid to the values on which modern education is built. The master class took place in an open dialogue format—participants asked questions, shared experiences, and resonated with the ideas of humane pedagogy. This approach is focused on respecting the child's personality, developing the uniqueness of each child, and exercising patience in their development, completely rejecting an authoritarian-command style of communication with children. During the meeting, the academician highly praised the creation of the Teacher's House in Kazan—a unique space for Russia. It should be noted that the Kazan Education House is in the final stages of reconstruction. Shalva Amonashvili particularly emphasized that such institutions are often closing nowadays, while in Kazan, on the contrary, a new, large-scale project is being opened. "A powerful impulse for change is emerging in Kazan. The Teacher's House is a headquarters for thoughts, creativity, and professional growth. I do not know where else in the country something similar is being created. This is a protection for teachers, and it is important that every teacher takes advantage of this opportunity. For me, this is the highest value. The day before, the minister and the mayor told me that a monument to the Teacher is planned to be installed nearby—I was simply amazed," said the academician. According to Amonashvili, the Kazan Teacher's House should not just be a beautiful building but a place where innovations, new practices, and the creative potential of educators are born. The academician expressed gratitude to the republic's leadership and the Kazan city administration for their attention to such an important social task. Shalva Alexandrovich also mentioned that he has long-standing and warm relations with Kazan. "My impressions of Kazan and Tatarstan are always the deepest, and not just from the current trip. I have been here before, came with my family, and with each visit, the city opens up to me in a new, amazing way. I am sincerely impressed by the transformations happening here," he shared. The event organizers announced the continuation of cooperation: the next visit of the outstanding educator to the capital of Tatarstan is planned for 2027. Shalva Alexandrovich Amonashvili is a Soviet, Georgian, and Russian educator, psychologist, author of more than 100 books translated into 20 languages, publisher of the "Anthology of Humane Pedagogy," Doctor of Psychological Sciences, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, professor, and academician of the Russian Academy of Education. He is a two-time laureate of the Russian Government Award in the field of education.
