      The "Tugan Tel" World Congress is taking place at the Academy of Sciences of Tatarstan from April 15 to 17, with the participation of over 800 teachers and education workers from 28 regions of Russia and foreign countries. In the ceremonial part of the event, the head of the Executive Committee of the World Congress of Tatars, Danis Shakirov, spoke. He noted that the congress began with the laying of flowers at the graves and monuments of Gabdulla Tukay. In his speech, Shakirov emphasized that the main force preserving the Tatar language is the teachers. "If thousands of teachers of the Tatar language and literature, workers of national education can gather in the center of the Tatar world in Kazan, then for a thinking person, there is a very deep and great meaning in this," noted Danis Shakirov. The Deputy Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Tatarstan, Minzaliya Zakirova, spoke about the significance of the International Olympiad in the Tatar language and literature, which is taking place as part of the congress. According to her, today in the center of Kazan, 500 children from 30 regions and 5 foreign countries are competing. The deputy minister said that the result of the teachers' work is manifested in how these children communicate beautifully with each other in the Tatar language and engage in creativity. "Whether a teacher of the Tatar language or another subject, the result of our work is revealed only after years. The result of our work will be visible in the future. And today, the results of the International Olympiad are being summed up. If you could see how freely the children communicate with each other, how they present their own poems and creative works – you would be sincerely happy with the results of your work," she said. During the solemn opening, teachers and education workers were awarded medals from the World Congress of Tatars "For Great Services to the Tatar Nation" and badges from the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tatarstan "For the Preservation and Development of Languages, Culture, and Traditions."
