This was reported by the chairman of the Strategic Vision Group "Russia - Islamic World", the Head of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, at a meeting of the organizing committee. According to Minnikhanov, this is a significant result of a large-scale invitation campaign. Within the framework of the forum, the holding of three intergovernmental commissions has already been confirmed, including with Indonesia and Nigeria. The business program includes more than 120 events. Among the topics are Islamic finance, investments, and the halal industry. The forum will also host a congress of culture ministers from OIC countries, a cultural festival, and various exhibitions. Minnikhanov added that during the forum days, the annual meeting of the Strategic Vision Group "Russia - Islamic World" will take place. Its theme is "Common values as the basis for cooperation and mutual understanding between Russia and the Islamic world." In 2025, the XVI forum was held in Kazan from May 13 to 18. The main theme then was "Digitalization: a new reality and additional opportunities for expanding cooperation." In 2026, the forum will take place from May 12 to 17 at various venues in Kazan. The two-day business program will be held on May 14-15 at "Kazan Expo".
