      A local resident of Kazan, born in 1952, reported to the police that he had fallen victim to scammers. It all started with a message in a messenger: an unfamiliar girl wrote to him that he had won 200,000 rubles. But to receive the winnings, he had to fulfill a number of conditions. First, he was supposedly required to pay a tax, and later even a licensing agreement. Believing the scammers, the Kazan resident transferred all his savings to unknown accounts. In the end, the total amount he lost was 138,000 rubles. After that, communication with the stranger was cut off, and the man turned to the police. A criminal case has been initiated under part 2 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation "Fraud." The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the city of Kazan warns: be careful when receiving messages about winnings through social networks, messengers, or email. Never transfer money to strangers. If you have become a victim of a crime, immediately report to the police at the numbers "02" or "112."
