      The reason for the name change is related to recent amendments to the legislation on the protection of the Russian language. The Russian digital service has updated its name. The national digital platform Max, positioning itself as a multifunctional communication tool, has undergone rebranding. Now, in the app stores RuStore and Google Play, as well as on the official website, the product is presented under the Russian name "Макс". The App Store remains an exception, where the English version of the name is still displayed. Recall that in June last year, the State Duma adopted a law on the protection of the Russian language, requiring its use in information for the general public. From March 2026, signs, indicators, and advertisements must be in Russian, although trademarks and service marks may contain foreign words.
