This question is explained by Guzal Gainullina, a leading expert in the inspection department of the Зеленодольский territorial body of the State Alcohol Inspection of the Republic of Tatarstan. According to the Model for the functioning of the goods labeling system, approved by the order of the Government of the Russian Federation dated April 28, 2018, No. 791-r, each unit of goods is assigned a unique code, and all stages of the turnover of goods (from production or import to payment for the goods using cash register equipment or other means of removing goods from circulation) are registered in the goods labeling information system. The Honest Sign is a state system of mandatory labeling to protect consumer rights and combat the circulation of low-quality products. Labeling goods (from food products and essential goods to tobacco products) allows tracking and verifying each unit of production — to find out where this particular product came from and at what stage of sale it is currently. With the help of the mobile application "Honest Sign," any consumer can: 1. Track who and when produced the goods or imported them into the country. 2. Check the legality of the products. If the code is fake, the application will not find the product in the labeling system upon scanning and will issue a warning. 3. Report discovered illegal products. When scanning the product, the buyer will see in the application whether the product is in the labeling system. If it is not there, they can report the violation. 4.
