Attention, competition: "First for Road Safety"

      Students aged seven to seventeen are invited to participate in the district competition "First for Road Safety." Winners in each age category will receive bicycles, and the leading schools with the most participants will receive special prizes. The acceptance of applications and videos will last until April 30.

      The competition "First for Road Safety" is starting in the Verkhneuslonsky district. The organizers are the local branch of the "First Movement," the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate, and the prevention department of the State Budgetary Institution "Road Safety" in the Verkhneuslonsky district. The event is dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the establishment of the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate of Russia. The competition consists of three stages. The first stage is a qualifying round in an online format. Participants need to fill out an application and shoot a video lasting up to one minute on the topic of road safety by April 30. The video should be clear, interesting, and useful for students. The best works will be selected for participation in the in-person final, which will take place on May 29.

      The final stage includes three challenges. At the "Traffic Rules Experts" station, participants will take a written test consisting of ten questions. At the "Knowledge of Basic First Aid" station, they will need to answer questions and demonstrate practical skills, such as applying a tourniquet or bandage. Finally, the "Bicycle Maneuvering" station will require agility and precision: participants will navigate a special obstacle course with turns, slalom, precise braking, carrying an object, and passing under bars.

      Students from three age categories can participate: seven to ten years, eleven to fourteen years, and fifteen to seventeen years. A mandatory condition is registration on the "First Movement" platform. Participation is free.

      Winners in each age category will receive the grand prize – a bicycle. Runners-up (second and third places) will be awarded diplomas and valuable gifts. All finalists will receive participant diplomas and consolation prizes. Additionally, the two schools that send the most participants will become winners in the "School – Leader of Road Safety" nomination – their administration will also receive bicycles. Applications and videos are accepted until April 30 via the link. The list of participants who made it to the final will be announced on May 18. Participate and show that you are the first for safety on the roads.
