It was established that between July and August 2024, fraudsters deceived the elderly woman and stole 416,000 rubles from her. The criminals, posing as bank security and law enforcement officials, convinced the victim to transfer funds to a "safe account" under the pretext of preventing unauthorized credit issuance. Misled, the woman transferred the money in six transactions. As part of the criminal case initiated on this matter under Part 3 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (fraud), it was found that the bank accounts to which the victim transferred the funds belong to residents of Moscow, Volgograd, Yekaterinburg, and Krasnoyarsk. In this regard, the district prosecutor filed lawsuits in the interests of the pensioner to recover the amount of unjust enrichment. To secure the claims, the prosecutor demanded a ban on registration actions regarding the defendants' real estate and a freeze on their bank accounts up to the amount of the debt.
