In Tatarstan, the names of 423 fallen Heroes have been established.

      As part of the Year of Military and Labor Valor in the Republic of Tatarstan, special attention is paid to commemorative and memorial events. Since 2018, the public project "Heroes of the Fatherland" has been implemented in the Volga Federal District, aimed at supporting the defenders of the Motherland and participants of heroic events, as well as preserving the memory of those who died while fulfilling their military or official duty. The project was initiated by the Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Volga Federal District, Igor Komarov. Our republic consistently ranks among the top three leaders among 14 regions of the Volga Federal District in the nomination "Most Complete Implementation of Legislation on the Commemoration of the Defenders of the Fatherland," for which the Ministry of Labor, Employment, and Social Protection of the Republic of Tatarstan is responsible. In Tatarstan, the names of 423 fallen Heroes of the Fatherland have been established, including 248 fallen natives of the republic, among whom are 185 Heroes of the Soviet Union, 48 full holders of the Order of Glory, and 15 Heroes of the Russian Federation. Work to immortalize their memory is carried out in various ways: by naming streets and organizations after them, erecting memorial structures, improving burial sites, and creating museum exhibitions. To date, the events to commemorate the memory of 230 fallen Heroes have been fully completed.
