      Kazan took first place in the All-Russian municipal award "Service". The city won in the nomination "Unity of the Peoples of Russia - Strength of the Country" with the strategy of Mayor Ilsur Metshin "Unity in Diversity". This was reported by the press service of the Kazan mayor's office. The capital of Tatarstan is home to representatives of 115 nationalities. Over the past five years, more than 300 initiatives aimed at supporting native languages and cultural traditions have been implemented in the city, which have become part of the everyday life of the citizens. Ilsur Metshin, receiving the award, noted that together with his team, with the support of Mintimer Shaimiev and Rustam Minnikhanov, work is being done to ensure that Kazan remains a common home for people of different nationalities. He emphasized that he considers this to be the main asset of the city. The award was presented by the Deputy Prime Minister of Russia, Tatyana Golikova.

      The organizer of the award is the All-Russian Association for the Development of Local Self-Government with the support of the Administration of the President of Russia.
