      The City Court of Naberezhnye Chelny ordered the city executive committee to compensate the driver whose car was damaged due to poor road conditions. His Mercedes Benz C200 fell into a pothole on Mira Avenue. This refers to a traffic accident that occurred in May 2025 in front of house 25/09. According to the case materials, there was a lack of asphalt across the entire width of the road, and there was a large pothole measuring 10.7 m wide, 5.3 m long, and 6.5 cm deep. Arriving at the scene, the traffic police established that the driver had not violated any rules. An administrative case against him was dismissed. At the same time, the fact of improper road maintenance was confirmed. After the accident, the car owner ordered an independent examination, which estimated the repair costs at 473,300 rubles, and filed a lawsuit. After reviewing the traffic police materials, the court concluded that the driver was not at fault in the accident. Responsibility for the condition of the asphalt was placed on the city executive committee. Although the road service (MUP "PAD") was also brought in as a co-defendant, the court decided that the municipality should pay, as it is legally obligated to ensure road safety. In addition to the repair costs of 473,000 rubles, the court ordered the city to pay for the expert's work (10,000 rubles), the lawyer's fees (20,000 rubles), and to reimburse the state duty. However, the court denied compensation for moral damages, as it found no evidence that the plaintiff suffered moral suffering. The claim for reimbursement of car rental expenses after the accident was also denied, as no evidence of such costs was presented.
