In Tatarstan, five eco-trails have been established for tourists. This was reported by the press service of the State Committee of the Republic of Tatarstan for Bioresources. In the reserve "Long Glade" in the Tetyushsky district, 246 larches are lined up in two alleys. The trees growing here are over 130 years old. There is a local belief that a wish will come true if you make it while hugging a tree. In the neighboring Derevushenskaya Glade, which drops off to the Volga, live stag beetles up to 7.5 centimeters long, listed in the Red Book. The local dendropark descends to the water in terraces: frost-resistant trees are planted at the top, while heat-loving ones are closer to the shore. The "Journey to Bai Urmany" trail in the Ivashov Park of the Buinsky district runs among 150 century-old trees. Mostly, these are linden trees, but among them are three pines, two birches, and one willow. The eco-trail "Walk in the Barsky Park" in the Baltasinsky district represents an interactive laboratory in the open air, while on the "Touch Nature" trail in the "Chulpan" reserve named after A. P. Pukhachev in the Vysokogorsky district, you can listen to the sounds of the forest and examine plants from benches. In the Leninogorsk district, an ecological trail "Along the Paths of the 'Steppe' Reserve" has been organized. There, you can get acquainted with the pine forest, an ant metropolis, owls with unique hearing, and the steppe marmot, which sleeps for seven months a year. "The main rule remains the same: you are a guest here. Do not disturb anything – and Tatarstan will reveal its most cherished corners to you," emphasized the committee.
Visiting the eco-trails is carried out in coordination with the management of the administrations of state natural reserves. This is necessary to ensure the preservation of natural complexes and the safety of the visitors themselves. The promotion and development of ecological tourism within the framework of the national project "Ecological Well-Being" allows making such journeys more accessible and comfortable for all categories of citizens, the department added.
