      A resident of Chistopol will pay 200,000 rubles in compensation for moral damages to a teenager who was injured in a traffic accident caused by him, the Prosecutor's Office of Tatarstan reported. The accident occurred on September 2, 2025, on the Chistopol – Nizhnekamsk highway. The driver of a Nissan Almera, while under the influence of alcohol, crossed into the oncoming lane and collided with a Hyundai Solaris, in which a 15-year-old girl was traveling. The teenager sustained moderate injuries. Initially, the offender was fined 35,000 rubles. Later, the mother of the injured girl appealed to the prosecutor's office demanding compensation. The agency filed a lawsuit in court, which granted the demands and ordered the driver to pay the teenager 200,000 rubles for moral damages.
