In Tatarstan, the rules and nominations for the "Doctor of the Year - White Flowers - 2026" competition have been updated, the Ministry of Health of the republic reported. The competition aims to enhance the prestige of the medical profession and develop the professional level of doctors. This year, the selection system for participants has changed: candidates are first chosen in medical institutions through voting by doctors and patients, after which the winners undergo additional selection in leading clinics in Tatarstan. The final list is formed by the Public Council under the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Tatarstan. The award ceremony will traditionally take place in June and will be timed to coincide with Medical Worker’s Day. Additionally, new nominations have been introduced in the competition. "Loyalty to the Profession" has replaced the previous "Legend of Healthcare" and will be awarded to doctors for significant contributions to the development of medicine. The new nomination "Compassion and Care" is intended for specialists with secondary medical education. "Young Guard" is aimed at young doctors with experience ranging from 5 to 8 years. Furthermore, a team nomination "Synergy of Health" has been introduced, where medical teams will be evaluated based on their work efficiency and quality of patient care.
The organizers note that the competition will continue to evolve and promise additional innovations.
