Timur Eskaraev, the organizer of the event and a member of the council of the Tatarstan republican organization of the All-Russian Society for Nature Conservation, informed "Tatar-inform" about this. "The #StopHogweed event is held annually and gathers dozens of participants. The event on Sunday will start at 11 a.m. Usually, someone digs up the harmful weed, while others collect trash. The territory of the specially protected natural area is large – 322.8 hectares, so the event takes place in several stages. Today we collected trash from the side of the 'Millennium' bridge, and on Sunday we will clean up from the side of Galeeva and Novatorov streets, and Soldier's beach," he said. Everyone is invited to participate in the ecological event. People will be provided with all necessary equipment on site – gloves, trash bags, and shovels for digging up the weed. "Also tomorrow, April 25, we will hold a clean-up day in the specially protected natural area of Savinovo together with the administration of the Novo-Savinovsky and Aviastroitelny districts. An exhibition-fair of creative works by local residents will take place in the grove on Gavrilova," Eskaraev added.
