Maria Khusnutdinova was born on May 10, 1920, in the village of Sarsaz-Bagryazh in a peasant family. After finishing eight years of school and teacher training courses in Kazan, she worked as a primary school teacher starting in 1937. In 1954, she was elected chairwoman of the Aksarinsky village council. She did a lot for the improvement of the village, in particular, the construction of brick houses for the collective farm workers began, as well as the building of a modern school and a House of Culture. From 1960, for 16 years, she led a comprehensive brigade in the collective farm named after the XXI Party Congress. Under her leadership, the brigade achieved record yields of grain and sugar beets, fulfilled the grain procurement plan ahead of schedule, and the milk yield per cow increased from 1500 to 2500 kilograms. At the initiative of Maria Khusnutdinova, a mechanized grain receiving point was built and the farms were modernized. She was a deputy of the Supreme Soviet of the TASSR and a delegate to the XXIII Congress of the CPSU. For her outstanding achievements in agriculture, Maria Khusnutdinova was awarded the title of Hero of Socialist Labor, the Order of Lenin, and the bronze medal of the VDNH of the USSR.
