Payment is accepted exclusively in cryptocurrency or Chinese yuan. Experts note that such actions create a "dangerous precedent for freedom of navigation and global trade."

      It should be noted that approximately 20% of the world's oil supplies traditionally pass through the Strait of Hormuz.
