"Compete on racetracks, not on roads": a youth competition in automotive multi-discipline took place in Kazan.

      Today, the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate of the Republic of Tatarstan launched a republican competition in automotive multi-discipline for boys and girls aged 16 to 18. A total of 24 teams from 24 districts participated in the competition. Each team has at least three participants, with a total of 76 individuals taking part. "Today marks the start of the twentieth competition in automotive multi-discipline for boys and girls. The goal of the competition is to prevent road traffic injuries. We want our children to know and follow the traffic rules," said Rushan Shakirov, Deputy Head of the Road Safety Promotion Department of the Traffic Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tatarstan. The competition consists of three stages. The first stage is a knowledge test of traffic rules. Next, participants must demonstrate their skills in basic first aid, and then compete in vehicle maneuvering. Based on the results of all three stages, the top 10 teams will be selected and awarded diplomas and gift certificates. "All participants are the best of the best in their districts. Each team is a winner at the municipal level," emphasized Rushan Shakirov. The first two stages took place in specially equipped classrooms. The vehicle maneuvering stage was held at the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate's training ground, which was equipped with artificial obstacles in the form of cones. "Everyone gathered here today is doing great and is already a winner. Nowadays, there are more and more cars on the roads; this is part of our life, and it is very important to manage them correctly and know the rules. It is also important to compete on special grounds, not on the roads," noted Ildar Sadriyev, Deputy Minister of Sports of the Republic of Tatarstan.
