The territorial body of the Federal State Statistics Service for the Republic of Tatarstan recorded a noticeable decrease in consumer prices for a number of socially significant food products during the period from April 13 to April 20, 2026.
According to Tatarstanstat, the most significant drop in price during the reporting week was demonstrated by fresh cucumbers. Their price decreased by almost 7%, which in absolute terms amounted to 13 rubles 27 kopecks. As a result, the average retail price of a kilogram of cucumbers in the republic fell to 179 rubles 19 kopecks. Dairy products also became cheaper: sour cream lost nearly 9 rubles in price, reaching a level of 300 rubles 91 kopecks per kilogram, while butter fell in price by about 20 rubles, amounting to 974 rubles 62 kopecks per kilogram. The price correction downward also affected other product categories. Boiled sausage decreased in price from 522 rubles 4 kopecks to 516 rubles 69 kopecks. Pasta made from premium wheat flour showed a modest but still negative trend – its price decreased from 77 rubles 23 kopecks to 76 rubles 47 kopecks. A similar downward trend was observed for a number of other food items. At the same time, the statistical agency also recorded a counter price trend for some categories of goods. During the reporting period, table beets rose in price by 4.71%, increasing to 40 rubles 50 kopecks per kilogram. Carrots increased in price by 2%, reaching a cost of 47 rubles 75 kopecks.
