The VII All-Russian Quran Reading Contest "Khalisa" took place in Urussu.

      Today, on the 15th day of the month of Zul-Qi'dah (May 2), the final of the VII All-Russian Open Quran Recitation Competition "Khalisa" among girls and women took place in the village of Urussu in the Yutazinsky district. The competition was organized at the initiative of the Mardanshins family with the support of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Kaziyat of the southeastern part of Tatarstan, the Yutazinsky municipal district of Tatarstan, and Muslim philanthropists. A total of more than 70 girls participated in the competition. Following the qualifying round, 28 participants reached the final. Participants came from various cities and regions, including Kazan, Novosibirsk, Podolsk, as well as from the Republics of Udmurtia, Bashkortostan, Penza region, and different districts of Tatarstan. The contestants competed in the following categories: 1) memorization of 3 Juz (28-30) for participants under 14 years old; 2) memorization of 3 Juz (28-30) for participants over 14 years old; 3) memorization of 10 Juz (21-30); 4) memorization of the full text of the Holy Quran. The winners in each category were awarded valuable prizes, including two trips for Umrah, as well as diplomas. In addition, all participants received consolation prizes and certificates for their active participation.
