      The Head of the Republic of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov, allocated funds for the restoration of the Kazan-Bogoroditskaya Church in the village of Bolshoye Frolovo in the Buinsky District, which is one of the largest wooden churches in the republic that has survived to this day. The day before, the church was visited by the Metropolitan of Kazan and Tatarstan, Kirill, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan – Minister of Industry and Trade of RT, Oleg Korobchenko, and the Chairman of the Committee of the Republic of Tatarstan for the Protection of Cultural Heritage Sites, Ivan Gushchin. They inspected the church and its territory, as well as familiarized themselves with the restoration work plan. "Rustam Nurgalievich Minnikhanov allocates initial funds for the restoration of this beautiful church. There is much work to be done, and we must pray that everything goes well. Sometimes we think we know better than others how to manage a district or even a state. But the Lord does not expect this from us. Our main task is to pray to the Lord God," said Metropolitan Kirill. The church was built in the 1780s. The central altar is consecrated in honor of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God, the left one – in honor of Saint Panteleimon the Healer, and the right one – in honor of Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker. In 1853, an icon of Saint Panteleimon was brought to the church from the Panteleimon Monastery on Mount Athos. It was highly revered by local residents and those from nearby villages. In the early 1930s, the church was closed, but it resumed operations in 1947.
