Today, another 80 electric scooters were evacuated from the city's street and road network. In total, 240 PMDs have been evacuated over two days. The transport committee, the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate, and the administrative and technical inspection department are participating in the events. Violations were identified on streets with heavy pedestrian traffic: on Kremlovskaya, Lobachevskogo, Profsoyuznaya, Yapeeva, Karl Marx, Dzerzhinsky, and Baturina streets. All seized PMDs have been sent to a specialized parking lot. Operators can only retrieve them after paying administrative fines. It is worth noting that kick-sharing companies have ignored the situation with the improper parking of their equipment: measures to prevent chaotic parking and the prompt redistribution of scooters have not been taken, and there has been virtually no response to the authorities' warnings. In this regard, the city will continue to evacuate improperly parked PMDs until the services bring the parking system in line with urban improvement rules. It should be noted that currently, more than 1,400 parking zones have been approved in Kazan. Additional rules for PMDs are in effect in the city. For instance, the speed of electric scooters should not exceed 20 km/h, and in speed-limited zones, of which there are 401 in the city, no more than 10-15 km/h. Pedestrian streets Bauman, Petersburg, and Kayum Nasiri are closed to traffic and parking.
